How long does it take to renovate a bathroom?

The average bathroom renovation in Canberra by Creating Impressions takes about two weeks to complete. But this may vary on the level of work required to be done and product selection. e.g. frameless or toughened glass shower screens. It is in our interest to to complete your bathroom renovations in a timely manner. With over 25 years of experience we are able to run a very efficient project management schedule.

Can we live in the home while our bathroom renovations are being carried out?

Yes, but the room will not be able to be used during the renovation period. We will take all measures to minimize any mess. The site will be cleaned each day by the tradesmen.

Do you renovate other rooms?

Yes, we also can renovate ensuites, laundries and toilets. We will do all aspects of floor and wall tiling including kitchen splashbacks, hallways, living areas etc

Can I hire a portable shower/toilet for the duration of the bathroom renovation?

Yes, should you require it, we can arrange for the hire of a private portable ensuite which has a hot shower, toilet, vanity and even a heater and is placed on your property.

What if I work and am unable to be home during the bathroom renovation?

This is not a problem. We obtain a key from you and set up a secured lock box onsite for access. We have an excellent reputation and we personally supervise the bathroom renovation from start to finish, which means you can have peace of mind knowing your property will be shown the respect it deserves.

Is the price quoted a fixed price?

To a degree, the price quoted is a fixed price unless there is any additional work performed outside what is specified in the quote. This may include any further client requests which are not specified in the quote or any additional work that is required due to encountering any damage that was not visible at the time of quoting. eg rotten floor boards or water damaged timber work that will only become apparent after the bathroom is stripped. Any such work outside the quote would be discussed with you before being carried out. We believe our prices to be very competitive in today’s market, if however you are able to obtain a better written quote, we would appreciate the opportunity to match those prices or be give the opportunity to asses why there may be a difference.

How do I pay for my renovation?

We accept cash, cheques and direct bank deposits. We ask that you confirm your particular daily transfer limit as each bank differs. Initial deposit is payable upon commencement with further progressive payments throughout the project.

Can we keep our existing layout and just upgrade our fixtures?

We are well aware that many clients don’t want to move their bathroom / ensuite fixtures, so we can certainly just upgrade your fixtures to modernise your bathroom, ensuite and laundry. This also keeps the costs down on your renovation

Can I renovate my bathroom if there is asbestos?

YES. If your home has asbestos our qualified & licensed trades people will remove it in accordance with government compliance and safety standards.

Can I choose my own products and tiles?

YES you can, we encourage you to do so. You best know your tastes and budget, and you may have a supplier that you have dealt with before. Here at Creating Impressions bathroom renovations Canberra, we want you to have the freedom of choice for your renovation. We can certainly assist by providing you a list of recommended suppliers or assist you with your choices as well as getting the best prices for those products.

Most of our clients are pleased with supplying their own bathrooms fixtures and fittings and for good reason.

  • There is no limitation to the number of suppliers that they can visit. This gives you the client a massive selection/variety
  • Clients are not influenced by the supplier or the contractor
  • The price that the client pays has no mark-ups or margins and is generally a great deal
